Welcome to Universal Sports and Academics

Universal Sports and Academics, Inc is a 501(c)3 applicant providing youth sports to our Southern Maryland community through classes, competitions and events hosted in our 25,000sqft facility called Unique Sports Academy.  It is our Mission to work to provide a structured social bridge between recreation and competitive sports with academia, Government and commercial industry; and the artistic coupling of mind and body for the betterment of our community and the furthering of personal and professional growth.

Unique Sports Academy is not just an athletic training facility, but a life changing children’s activity center which is the home of all our programs:  Unique Gymnastics, Maryland Superstarz All-Star Cheerleading, Royal Martial Arts, Rampage Wrestling and the SMAC Football Coaches Assosciation .  Each program has a goal to make fitness fun by changing lives one child at a time.  Our staff helps children grow Physically, Cognitively, Socially and Emotionally in a supportive environment.

In this day and age when too many children do not receive enough exercise, our programs are a great way to introduce activities that provide total fitness.  During classes or practices, each child will use every muscle group while learning skills and having fun.  We are committed to helping each child who walks through our doors reach their full potential in an environment that is safe and fun.  Our programs are designed to make children feel good about themselves by raising their level of fitness, self-confidence and self-esteem.

Our programs represent over 2,000 families located throughout Southern Maryland.  Routinely through the year, we host events, camps and competitions that bring in people from as far away as WV and NJ, as well as recognized sports champions such as Svetlana Boguinskaia and Kerri Strugg (Olympic Gold Medalists in Gymnastics) for athletic camps and instructions.

Universal Sports and Academics Advisory Board consists of termed athletic and academic professionals with the objective to provide guidance and direction for developing and maturing the manners and techniques of developing the athletes while maintaining a balance with academic requirements.  Additionally, this group will be selected to ensure credibility and influence with athletic and academic institutions at the local, national and international venues.
