WE ARE UNIVERSAL SPORTS & ACADEMICS . . . a 501(c)3 providing positive youth sports programs for children within our Southern Maryland community through classes, competitions and special events hosted at the Unique Sports Academy, our 25,000 sq.ft. facility the conveniently located in Waldorf, Maryland on Post Office Road.
It is our Mission to provide a structured social bridge between recreation and competitive sports with academia, Government and commercial industry; and the artistic coupling of mind and body for the betterment of our community and the furthering of personal and professional growth.

- Unique Gymnastics: USA Gymnastics and Maryland USAG Affiliated Gymnastics
- Unique Tumble and Trampoline Teams: USAG Affiliated program
- Maryland Twisters Cheerleading: USASF Competitive All-Star Cheerleading Teams for Beginner, Advanced & Athletes with Special Needs
- Rampage Wrestling: All-Star, Year-Round Youth Wrestling
FUN RECREATIONAL AND BEGINNER PROGRAMS
Along with our All-Star and Competitive programs, we provide a wide-range of fun and recreational-level sports clinics and classes. Each program has a goal to have children feel good about themselves and to make fitness fun! Our well trained staff members help children grow physically, cognitively, socially and emotionally in a truly supportive environment. Click on the Recreational Class schedule for actual class times, days and prices. Our recreational programs are priced from $90 to $120 per 8-week session and include:
- Cheer Tumbling (evening classes for children of all ages and abilities: beginner to advanced).
- Gymnastics & Tumbling (day, evening, or morning/afternoon classes) include:
- You & Me (ages 18 month to 3 years, co-ed);
- Tots (ages 3-4);
- Kinder Kare (ages 4-6);
- Home-Schooled Students;
- Beginner Boys/Girls (ages 6-8, 9+);
- Advanced Beginner Boys/Girls (ages 6-8, 9+);
- Intermediate Girls (ages 6 and up);
- Advanced Girls (ages 6 and up);
- Unique Kids (All ages, co-ed).

ACTIVE BODIES = ACTIVE MINDS: In this day and age, many children are inactive and don't have the opportunity to get enough exercise, or social involvement with their peers. Our programs are a great way to introduce activities that provide total fitness in a structured environment while providing the opportunity to make new friends. During classes or practices, each child will use every muscle group while learning skills and having fun. We are committed to helping each child who walks through our doors reach their full potential in an environment that is safe and fun. Our Unique programs are designed to make children feel good about themselves by raising their level of fitness, self-confidence and self-esteem.

Our positive programs represent over 2,000 families located throughout the Southern Maryland region. We also host several large sporting events, spring and summer training clinics, and regional competitions that bring participants and guests from all over the country, as well as recognized sports champions such as Olympic Gold Medalists Svetlana Boguinskaia and Kerri Strugg to enjoy the many amenities Charles County has to offer!
PROFESSIONAL AND EXPERIENCED MANAGEMENT -- Universal Sports and Academics Advisory Board consists of termed athletic and academic professionals with the objective to provide guidance and direction for developing and maturing the manners and techniques of developing the athletes while maintaining a balance with academic requirements. Additionally, this group is selected to ensure credibility and influence with athletic and academic institutions at the local, national and international venues.
