2011-2012 TRYOUTS

Mark your calendars!  Maryland Twisters will be holding their 2011-2012 season tryouts May 21st and 22nd. Come tryout for the most decorated program in the entire state of Maryland!  Twisters are currently the 2011 Jamfest, Cheersport, NCA National Champions, and Battle at the Capitol Program Champions!
We will also be having an open house in Glen Burnie Friday, May 6th from 6:00-8:00PM.  Come meet our staff, tour the gym, and inquire about any questions you may have about the program.

Twisters also recognize that tryouts can be a very intimidating setting so we are offering 2 separate tryout clinics at the Glen Burnie gym to better prepare the new athletes.  The dates are May 4th and May 18th (Time TBD). Your child will get to meet the staff, learn the dance material prior to actual tryouts, but most importantly will also have a much better understanding of our tryout process.  We highly recommend any new athlete considering joining the program to attend at least one of the clinics. The tryout clinic is $45 and although it is recommended, the clinics are optional.  We hope to see you there!

In case you missed it, Maryland Superstarz will be merging with Twisters for the next upcoming season!  We will be holding an open house/tryout clinic at the Waldorf gym Wednesday, May 11th at 6PM. The tryout clinic is $45 and although it is recommended, the clinics are optional.  We will then be holding tryouts on Friday, May 13th and Saturday May 14th (Time TBD).

The Maryland SuperStarz Merge with the Maryland Twisters!!!!!!!

Lisa and Tara are proud to announce that MD Superstarz in Waldorf are merging with the MD Twisters!   Effective May 1^st, the Starz will align in Twisters gear.

The Twisters program has world champion coaches in Glen Burnie who provide a consistent training curriculum for all levels.  We are committed to rolling that out to Waldorf.  Combining the 2 gyms will expose all athletes to more staff, more choreographers and an all-levels focus.  Plus, Waldorf will continue to house a world championship team.

We are very excited to grow the Twisters family.  Together, we will continue to be the largest all-star program in Maryland and the mid-Atlantic area.

Welcome to Unique Sports Academy

home of the Maryland SuperStarz All-Star Cheerleaders

Thank you for joining Maryland SuperStarz! We truly appreciate the opportunity to meet and work together with you and your children. As we begin our 2010/11 season, we are very excited about the many positive changes taking place at Unique Sports Academy. As a registered USASF All-Star Cheer program, we are continually improving our gym to keep up with the demands of the industry.

At Maryland SuperStarz, we expect a 100% commitment from each and every Starz cheerleading family for the entire competition year. We are not a recreational league -- we are a All-Star competitive-level -- yet extremely fun and rewarding program. It is our goal to help each cheerleader improve skills, achieve individual and team goals, become dedicated teammates -- and winners! We believe cheerleading is a TEAM SPORT. All of our exceptional cheer and tumbling Coaches will provide your child with positive guidance, to not only help them succeed in this sport, but also in life. One Gym. One Family.
